With over 30 years of experience in public safety, including more than 20 years in 9-1-1 and emergency communications, D. Jeremy DeMar is a recognized thought leader and subject matter expert (SME) in the field. Throughout his career, Jeremy has served in various roles, from dispatcher to director of two Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs), and has become a trusted advisor on the future of 9-1-1 systems, policy, and technology.
Jeremy is also an alumnus of the Naval Postgraduate School, where he earned a Master of Arts and published his thesis in 2017 titled "Next Generation 911: Policy Implications of Incident-Related Imagery on the Public Safety Answering Point". His work has been influential in shaping discussions on the integration of emerging technologies into the 9-1-1 space, including video and imagery, and their impact on operational workflows and public safety protocols.
As a futurist and early adopter, Jeremy is deeply engaged in pushing the boundaries of emergency communications, particularly with respect to the latest advancements in Connected Vehicles and Vehicle to Everything (V2X) technologies. He is regularly invited to speak at industry events, share insights, and facilitate discussions with key decision-makers and practitioners nationwide.
